About us

Nellions has earned a reputation for service and professionalism in both local and international moving

Nellions Moving & Relocations is extremely happy to extend its services to Uganda under the stewardship of CEO Henry Kasoma. Our office is located at the Ntinda Complex, opposite the St Lukes Church in Ntinda, Kampala. At the core of our DNA is the realisation that, over and above logistics, we are about personal service. Every move we handle for our clients is a chance for us to build trust, and demonstrate efficiency and care.

Our people

The warm, confident and friendly nature of our people stems from our DNA.

We hire and train on both hard skills and soft skills such as leadership, something rare in our industry. We go well beyond the usual background checks. The perpetual training at the Nellions Academy reflects our commitment to continuous learning and improvement One of our most important aims is to make respectable careers out of this rather obscure profession. Our people comprise a mix of college graduates and skilled individuals, men and women from different backgrounds, working together, evaluated primarily by their passion. We work hard to create a family atmosphere among this diverse team.

Innovations

Innovation requires deliberate steps.

All Nellions processes are periodically analysed, improved, documented and cascaded. We encourage wide involvement in the process of continuos learning. Each of our processes is well thought out and designed with a long term perspective. As a result, we have introduced many firsts, some visible – such as micro-fibre moving blankets, re-usable wardrobes and moving belts – and many others invisible.

Our culture

At Nellions we recognise that moving is a tough and anxious job.

Physical stamina is as important as a good state of mind. We therefore strive to create a work ethic that is people-centred. Here, everyone is important, deserving of respect and has a chance to be heard. We implement a buddy system and coach our staff to be their brother’s or sister’s keeper, as in a family. We believe in shared success where everyone feels they have a stake. Everyone is encouraged to be conscious of time and to take safety very seriously. Yet if there was one value that we wish to take for granted from everybody, it is honesty. We have zero tolerance for dishonesty.

Sustainability

As a brand, we have purple livery but would like to think we have a green heart!

We are continuously looking for ways to minimise the use of paper like employing re-usable crates and wardrobes to replace cartons. We avoid disposable polythene packing materials by using mover blankets. As part of our triple bottom line policy, we take the welfare and career development of our staff very seriously. This is not just because we demand a lot from them, but also because we believe in spearheading a sustainable quality-based moving industry that will outlive us.
