The Office Shifting Process

Moving is a process that involves a lot of meticulous planning to ensure a swift, stress free transition for the entire family. There are three major stages in the moving process:

  • A) Pre-move process

  • B) The Moving process

  • C) Post Moving Process

 

A) The Pre-Move Process

  • Look for a suitable office space to move to

  • Appoint a Move Manager — a member of your staff who will be the main point of contact with Nellions personnel.

  • Contact Nellions Moving and Relocations Ltd

  • Get a Move Consultant assigned to your Move. This is when your moving journey with Nellions Moving starts.The Move Consultant will contact you to:

  • Book for a premove survey – it can either be an in-person, Virtual Survey (video call or pre-recorded video), pictorial or a list(either via email and over the phone). In person survey is highly recommended for an office Move

  • Visit your premises based on your agreement in (1) above.

  • Understand your moving requirements and address any concerns you might have/ queries

  • Discuss the most practical move plan with you based on your needs, guide you through the d-day moving process and set expectations.

  • Share a tailor-made no-obligation quotation on email.

  • Book your move and handover to the Move Coordinator/ Move Anchor for d-day planning/ execution overview.

The Move Coordinator in conjunction with the Move Consultant and the Move Captain will:

  1. Request for a meeting between Nellions Moving and your Move Marshall

  2. Prepare a Move flow plan and present it to your team

  3. Set and discuss the expectations of each party.

  4. Deliver boxes for personal packing- work in progress for your colleagues

  5. Visit the destination office for labelling and understanding of the settling plan

  6. Share minutes of the meeting with your Move Coordinator.

Clear with the building/ property management on both ends.
Share an LPO/LSO to firm up the Move.
Get an sms advising your Move Captain for the entire actual moving process through our CRM.

B) The Office Moving Process

The Move Captain and the team will arrive at your current location on time.

  • He/ She will introduce his/ her team

  • They will request you to take show them around for a quick walkthrough to get a glimpse of the scope of work

  • Label the house/ articles with end in mind

  • He will introduce a set of documents to be used on the move day.

  • Set timelines with you.

  • The team will safeguard your items by ensuring 100% packing of the small items and wrapping for the furniture/ huge electronics

  •  Load the items in a clean, covered, lockable moving truck(s).

  • Transport to the destination premises.

  • Unload and position to the respective rooms

  • Unpack/ unwrap the items

  • Assemble the furniture and position them to their respective spaces.

  • Set up the files chronologically

Post-Moving Process

  1. Make the payment as agreed with the Move Consultant / as per the LPO terms- An invoice will be provided
  2.  Expect a call from our Quality Control Team a few days after your move for follow up (move experience and any other feedback you deem necessary).

Moving Insurance

Nellions Moving Uganda Ltd is insured under Professional Liability All Risk Insurance Covers. However, our insurance is general cover and can only cover to a certain limit that is why we recommend you place your own insurance though NOT mandatory.

We can place the cover on your behalf at a fee or you can do it through your insurer. All you need to provide is an itemized valued inventory, a copy of your identity document (passport or ID) and a copy of the URA TIN.
