A NEW WAY OF MOVING IN UGANDA

Uganda’s upward-moving economy has witnessed tremendous growth and innovation in recent years, which has resulted in a demand for better moving and relocation services. For the longest time, most people shifting in Uganda have done so at night due to insecurity and the fear of showing their neighbors what they own. There are still some Ugandans who cling to this method of moving, but with a growing economy and rapid urbanization, a lot of people are realizing that the old way of shifting just doesn’t cut it. 

At Nellions™, we understand all the concerns that a lot of Ugandans have, and we would love to bridge the gap between our clients’ fears and the safety of their goods. And we are proud to say that the days of shifting at night with unprofessional strangers are long gone.

Our biggest guarantee to our clients is peace of mind when moving. Our professionally trained movers and packers delicately handle all client goods, and we then use our covered branded trucks to transport them to the new location, where we set up your new house/office to your standards and can only leave when everything is in its proper place. The Client’s role in any move is to give instructions and watch them get executed.  

 

Packing 

We have all the high-quality packing materials needed for a move — from bubble wrap to newsprint, corrugated cardboard, packing boxes, moving crates, and microfiber moving blankets.

Nellions handles all the packing for you. We have Standard Operating Procedures that direct this process and ensure that all fragile goods are handled with the utmost care, with equal diligence paid to bulky goods, electronics, and furniture. Packing is done in an organized way from room to room and labeled to avoid mixing up items and for easier unpacking.

Above all this, the factor that makes a Nellions move so smooth and efficient is because our movers treat all client items with the same care that they do their personal items.

Transportation

After packing is done, the goods are loaded onto our clean lockable box-body trucks for transport to the new location. We have a loading process that involves arranging the items according to their size, sturdiness, and fragility to ensure that nothing is damaged in transit. The advantage of using box-body trucks is that no one but the client or movers can see the contents. On top of that, our drivers are trained moving professionals with proper licenses for operating the vehicles and machinery.

 

Setting up

At the new location, we usually place the items in their corresponding rooms from the old house, or at the instruction of the client. This part is usually the longest, as we do keen unpacking and go about assembling all the furniture, deploying our world-class housekeeping skills. We tie your bed, connect your cookers, hang your clothes, stack your shoes & books, install your DSTV, hang your art, and mount your TV. 

We ensure that each item is placed where it belongs, and we leave you comfortable enough to start making dinner.
